WHAT IS BRAIN GYM?

Brain GymŪ was created by Paul Dennison, Ph.D., and his wife, Gail

Dennison. Brain GymŪ is a simple series of 26 physical activities which create and reinforce nerve cell connections within the brain. Brain GymŪ improves neurological function by engaging the "whole" brain, which increases the ability to perform successfully. Brain GymŪ courses have been published in 55 languages. Brain GymŪ is currently practiced in over 81 countries.

WHAT IS THE BRAIN GYMŪ PROCESS?

From the first session, clients are given information and techniques which can be used at home.  The exercises take between 2-5 minutes per day. Brain GymŪ is flexible enough to be offered in a practitioner's office or in your home. For children, most Brain GymŪ practitioners encourage direct parent involvement during the session.

There is no standardized formal evaluation that must be done prior to receiving Brain GymŪ. Most practitioners will take a case history before teaching any Brain GymŪ, e.g., learning about the desired area(s) of improvement for you or your child, how things are going at school, whether other techniques have been tried, and the results, etc. Each session is uniquely designed to suit the needs of the client and can vary according to the strengths and specialties of the practitioner.
