Dore

Dore
Achievement Centers helps children and adults affected by learning
difficulties achieve their full potential. Whether you have been
formally diagnosed or you are living with symptoms associated with
AD/HD, dyslexia, or developmental coordination delay (DCD), the Dore
program may be beneficial for you.
Our
Approach
The
program directly addresses the physiological source of learning and
attention problems by using customized exercises to stimulate a part
of the brain known as the cerebellum.
Scientific research has shown that the cerebellum plays a key
role in learning, behavioral and attention-related activities.
The Dore program’s repetitive exercises essentially
“rewire” the cerebellum, making it more efficient at processing
information as well as reducing, or eliminating altogether, symptoms
associated with dyslexia and AD/HD. The program is drug-free and
non-invasive.
Who Can We Help
-
Adults or children whose performance does not reflect their
capability
-
Students whose frustration has gradually eroded their
enjoyment of reading and school in general
-
Those who have been formally diagnosed or are experiencing
symptoms often associated with AD/HD or dyslexia such as
reading/writing/comprehension difficulties; poor attention,
memory, and organization; coordination problems and low
self-esteem.
The
Program
At the first appointment, our Program Specialists use
sophisticated equipment to assess a number of functions related to
your ability to learn. A
medical doctor does a brief neurological exam and reviews the
results of your assessments with you and your parent/guardian.
Based on those results, the doctor then writes a full report
and prescribes a personal exercise program, individually tailored
for your learning situation.
The exercises are easy to learn, done at home, and usually take 5-10
minutes twice a day. We
supply you with all the equipment necessary, as well as instructions
and drawings to guide you. Every
6 weeks, you will return to the Dore center for a one hour follow up
assessment. At that
time, you receive a new exercise regimen for the next 6-week period.
When our tests measuring your cerebellum’s health score within a
normal range, you have completed the program.
The average client takes about 1 year to complete the
program. The academic,
physical, and emotional improvements resulting from the program are
permanent; there has been no regression recorded with our 15,000+
clients to date.
